Position Summary:
As a lead team member, you will be responsible for helping to lead and drive the daily restaurant operations of your Burgers@ location. You will be cross-trained to assist with FOH and BOH duties. A positive attitude, efficiency and excellent customer service are essential to being a lead team member. We depend on our lead team members to lead by example and to always make our guests and staff feel welcome and appreciated.
Responsibilities:
Primary Duties
Displays leadership qualities that contributes to a positive team environment.
Coordinates cross-functionally with kitchen and FOH staff to ensure a seamless operation.
Assists leadership with administrative duties when asked.
Provides fast, friendly customer service to all guests.
Greets incoming and departing guests warmly.
Demonstrates a complete knowledge of brand menu items and ingredients.
Operates POS system by taking orders and collecting payments.
Ensures product quality and consistency when preparing and packaging orders.
Look for opportunities to stock or clean when not serving a guest.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of basic food safety guidelines.
Willing to assist in the kitchen with food prep, cooking and cleaning as needed.
Cleans all restaurant areas/rooms and equipment during a normal shift, as assigned.
Assists leadership in executing restaurant opening or closing procedures.
Exhibits professional standards through appearance and demeanor.
Maintains positive working relationships with management and coworkers; willingly follows directions and requests as appropriate.
Completes tasks assigned beyond the job description when necessary.
BOH Duties
Assists cook with food prep, cooking and cleaning.
Prepares ingredients according to standardized recipes to ensure high quality consistent products are delivered to customers.
Adheres to specific product prep procedures to minimize waste and spoilage.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of basic food safety guidelines.
Cleans cooking areas, kitchen equipment, and other restaurant areas according to schedule to ensure the highest level of sanitation.
Records cleaning duties in daily log book.
Conducts daily check of refrigerators and freezers to ensure food has been properly stored and labeled and all surfaces have been cleaned and sanitized.
Checks all kitchen machinery, refrigerators, and freezers for proper working order.
Reports any repairs or maintenance needed to cook and acting manager in a timely manner.
Reports all cleaning and sanitation concerns to cook and acting manager in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Must be age 18 or older
Must have a positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Must be comfortable with operating a computerized POS system
Must be an enthusiastic team player and willing to take direction
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
At least 1 year restaurant experience (preferred)
